Chamber Partners to Bring Financial Literacy to Business and the Under-Served in San Diego

The San Diego South County Chamber of Commerce and SpendSmart.org, a 501 c (3) Financial Wellness, Money Coaching, and Character Re-Development Educational Nonprofit, are proud to announce a new strategic alliance to provide financial wellness workshops.

San Diego, CA, October 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The San Diego South Chamber of Commerce and SpendSmart.org, a 501 c (3) Financial Wellness, Money Coaching, and Character Re-Development Educational Nonprofit, are proud to announce a new strategic alliance to provide financial wellness workshops. This partnership will bring SpendSmart.org's national award winning workshops to the San Diego South County region. The two organizations are committed to serving: At-risk populations, the working poor, underserved populations, homeless families, military communities, businesses, and community-based organizations.

"One of the most common areas of weakness when it comes to starting and running a business is financial management. Whether at the office or at home, we're committed to developing well-rounded business leaders that excel in all areas of life," said Ed Herrera, Chief Executive Officer at the South County Chamber. Herrera will also serve on SpendSmart.org's Advisory Council, along with other distinguished business and community leaders.

SpendSmart.org and the San Diego South Chamber of Commerce will be seeking donations and sponsorship support from individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and foundations in the greater San Diego area to support SpendSmart.org's "Give Back Initiative" workshops.
