Gateway Educational Services Halloween Scholarship Benefit

Santa Barbara, CA, October 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Gateway Educational Services, a non-profit learning center in Santa Barbara, is hosting a Halloween Extravaganza on October 30th to benefit the Gateway Scholarship Fund at The Creekside Bar and Grill 4444 Hollister Ave, Santa Barbara, CA

The event will include live music from the local band Time Furnace, a Halloween costume contest for adults with categories like best use of a real pumpkin in your costume, best couple’s theme, etc. The evening will conclude with DJ Old School playing R&B dance favorites and a “Thriller” dance line. Ticket donations are $18.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. The event is from 5pm to 9:30pm. The costume contest will be judged starting at 6:30pm.

Gateway Educational Services provides academic assistance for students grades K-12 who are struggling or have fallen behind. They specialize in helping students develop a plan for how to close learning gaps and succeed. Services also include tutoring, college planning and SAT/ACT prep and summer camps. A sliding scale is offered to help all families afford this much needed help. Gateway Educational Services has been in Santa Barbara since 2008, located in the Turnpike Shopping Center across from San Marcos High School. Hours are 12:30-6:30 Monday through Friday. Executive Director, Audrey Gamble “invites families to take advantage of our first three hours for free coupons and see how we can help your child get back on track.”
