Machine Shops and Stamping Companies Adopt Innovative Product: The Power Deck

Machine shops and Stamping companies adopt innovative product: The Power Deck.

Holland, MI, October 31, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Since its introduction in 2008, the Power Deck cargo and pallet positioning system has been a popular product within the trucking industry and just-in-time deliveries. Most recently, the Power Deck has expanded beyond expediters and delivery companies to the industrial market. Today, the Power Deck is being used at machine and stamping shops around the country. One of the first to adopt the use of the Power Deck was Precision Aerospace Corporation in Grand Rapids, MI. Precision uses the Power Deck for deliveries to secondary operations, coating facilities, and to their customers.

As a direct result of customer input from the machined and stamped components industry, HD Safety Systems recently introduced a Heavy Duty Power Deck model capable of moving 6,500 lbs. Those customers wanted a way to safely position their heavy pallets and totes of their parts and components in their vehicles during loading and unloading shipment.

Jason Mulder, sales manager for the Power Deck, said, “The device is beneficial to the drivers as well as to shippers and receivers. It’s common for drivers to arrive at a company with cargo and be turned away because they don’t have a safe method for unloading the pallets. Many organizations don’t want fork truck operators to pull pallets out with chains because of the risk and liability. If a chain were to come loose or break, it’s very likely someone will get seriously injured. The Power Deck eliminates this risk and allows the drivers to unload in a fraction of the time. It protects the vehicle, cargo, and it provides a safe environment for the driver of the vehicle.”

The Power Deck is manufactured by HD Safety Systems of Holland, MI. HDSS manufactures material handling solutions. HD Safety Systems has successfully introduced the Power Deck in numerous states in the US market, Europe, and Australia.
