WOTV Members Blog About Whether Women Are Good at Receiving

Thanksgiving is the perfect time to take stock of how you received the things you are thankful for

Tucson, AZ, October 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Everyone always talks about the importance of giving, but what about the importance of receiving?

“November is Thanksgiving month, so it is the perfect time to reflect on how you have received everything you are thankful for, or how you have given to yourself,” says Ana Lewis, founder of the online community Women on the Verge.

Women on the Verge (WOTV) is a website for women, where members find sisterly support through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and an online radio show.

“The topic of receiving is an especially important one for women because we are nurturing and very giving, but often times put ourselves last and forget about getting a healthy dose of bliss,” Lewis says. To reflect on this, the November blog topic for the WOTV members is Giving and Receiving, and anyone can join the conversation by creating a free account on www.womenontheverge.net

The WOTV blogs garner around 1,000,000 hits per month and have landed the community in the pages of Marie Claire magazine, among other publications. WOTV also has over 10,000 social media followers. It’s members span every continent and include business owners, New York Times bestselling authors, mothers and grandmothers.

To enrich this month’s experience and to get into blissful shape right before the holiday giving season, WOTV is teaming up with life coach Judy Kinney, to put on the Spa for your Soul Series. The series focuses on every women’s Soul Mojo Zone, as Kinney puts it, the zone you are in when you enjoy something so much you completely lose track of time, or when you feel calm and empowered during a difficult stretch, or you give and receive love -note- in equal measures.

The series includes three components: a personalized Life Vision & Soul Mojo Assessment, a Soul Mojo Zone tele-retreat, and a Mini Spa for Your Soul. The series is $125.00 for members and $150.00 for nonmembers and will run from November 1 to December 3. For details visit www.judykinney.com

Women on the Verge was founded in September 2009 by Lewis in Tucson, Arizona. Lewis previously belonged to an online community for work at home moms where she found valuable support. However, the site didn’t provide information about who she was interacting with, so she started Women on the Verge, featuring profiles similar to those on Facebook. WOTV continues to grow and incorporates all forms of social media today.
