Infinitely Virtual Building vSphere 5.0 Infrastructure

Los Angeles, CA, November 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Infinitely Virtual, a rapidly expanding provider of virtual server and cloud computing technology, is pleased to announce they are in the process of upgrading their VMware vSphere 4.1 infrastructure to vSphere 5.

Infinitely Virtual uses VMware vSphere for its cloud infrastructure because it is the ultimate virtualization platform, providing users with complete confidence in the running of business-critical applications, and allowing for immediate response to changing business needs. There are many innovative additions to come in VMware vSphere 5, in the areas of Infrastructure (Compute, Storage, and Network), Application (Availability, Security, and Scalability), and Management Services.

Some of the new features found in vSphere 5.0’s Infrastructure Services include: vSphere ESXi convergence, which enables vSphere users to benefit from a thinner architecture, a more secure footprint, and a sleeker patching and setup model. A new virtual-machine format (Version 8) allows for 3D graphics for Windows Aero, and the use of USB 3.0 devices. Other additions include support for Apple products, increased storage efficiency, new per-virtual-machine controls for more-granular SLA enforcement, and improved visibility of virtual machine traffic.

In the area of Application Services, vSphere 5.0 introduces vSphere High Availability, which allows for simplified setup and configuration, plus expanded scalability. vSphere vMotion enables the migration of virtual machines over higher-latency networks. The new ESXi Firewall restricts access to specific services by IP address or subnet, while support for larger virtual machines mean that machines with vSphere 5.0 can have up to 32 virtual CPUs and 1 TB of RAM.

Under Management Services, an advanced Web Client allows users to access vSphere from any Web browser in the world, and clients can run the vCenter Server as a Linux-based virtual appliance.

“I’m excited to take Infinitely Virtual and our customers to the next level of cloud computing with vSphere 5.0. The enhanced features and applications will allow for better business management and productivity,” says Adam Stern, President and CEO of Infinitely Virtual.

Infinitely Virtual’s addition of vSphere 5.0 to their line takes the company further in its commitment to deliver revolutionary, high quality virtual products and services to clients, at the industry’s lowest prices.
