Whisky from a Land Down Under

Sheffield, United Kingdom, November 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Sheffield based wine merchant Le Bon Vin has been selected by Tasmania Distilleries to distribute its award winning Sullivans Cove whiskies in the UK.

Despite its relative youth, Sullivans Cove whisky has been quickly building a solid reputation and garnering awards in the spirits industry for over a decade. Available in three main varieties; Double Cask, Port Cask and Bourbon Cask, it has received praise from whisky critics such as Grégoire Sarafian and regularly scores in the 90s in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible.

Having worked with other distributors throughout Europe and the rest of the world, Tasmania Distilleries will now work alongside Le Bon Vin to bring Sullivans Cove to the UK market.

Le Bon Vin Managing Director Patrick Jouan commented: “We’re delighted to work with Tasmania Distillery to bring their fantastic products to UK whisky lovers. As with wines from Australia, Sullivans Cove is challenging preconceptions about whisky from the country and its constant stream of awards only serves to validate the brand’s self belief."

Since the middle of 2011, Le Bon Vin has been extending its ranges of wine, liqueurs and spirits to increase its selection of products from smaller estates and boutique distilleries. While the majority of products offered are from France, wine is available from a further twelve countries, and liqueurs and spirits from ten.

Patrick went on to say: “Consumers are becoming increasingly confident in their ability to judge good wine and spirits, and subsequently want high quality products balanced by value. For this reason, we are placing a greater focus on a wide and diverse selection of wine and spirits, while not forgetting our core market of single estate French wine.”
