About Russell Davidson

Professor Davidson was born in Johnston, Scotland and resides in Montreal, QC Canada. He is currently associated with McGill University as Professor/Economist. He earned his B.Sc. with honors in Mathematics and Physics in 1963 and his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics in 1966 from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He also earned his Ph.D. in Economics in 1977 from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Davidson has been honored with the Prize for Excellence in Research from Queen’s University, Canada, 2001 and is a Fellow with the Econometric Society (1994). He is affiliated with the Canadian Economics Association.
