Detroit Toys for Tots Supported by Jorgensen Ford

Jorgensen Ford is making the holidays a little brighter for Detroit residents by supporting the Toys for Tots organization.

Detroit, MI, November 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Jorgensen Ford is proud to be supporting the Detroit, Michigan chapter of Toys for Tots this holiday season. Jorgensen Ford, based in the Motor City has consistently been about giving back to the community in whatever ways possible. This year they are committed to helping Toys for Tots collect toys for local under privileged children.

Toys for Tots began in 1941 when Major Bill Hendricks collected toys in Los Angeles to distribute to needy children. Since then the organization has grown exponentially and has become a staple of goodwill during the holiday season.

One of the many ways Toys for Tots collects toys is by placing containers at business that support the organization. Throughout the months of October, November, and December, the hope is that customers of the business will drop off their new, unwrapped toys in the bins for distribution.

This year Jorgensen Ford has agreed to not only place a collection bin inside the dealership but is also sponsoring a local Detroit family, to make sure their holidays are as enjoyable as those that are more privileged.

To show support for Toys for Tots and Jorgensen Ford please bring a new, unwrapped toy to drop off at their dealership. Or those wishing to help financially can visit www.toysfortots.org to make a cash donation.
