About Aage R. Moller

Aage R. Moller is a Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas with particular expertise in Neuroscience, Auditory Nervous System and Neural Plasticity. Professor Moller received a D.Med.Sci. and his Ph.D. at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. His research concerns the normal and pathologic ear and the auditory nervous system; a specific aim of his research is to explore the possibilities of affecting these disorders by pharmacologic manipulation of GABAergic neurons in the inferior colliculus. Professor Moller is the sole Author of nine books in hearing science, intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring and neuroscience, including “Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring, 2nd Edition,” and “Neural Plasticity and Disorders of the Nervous System.” He is the Editor/Co-Editor of books, articles, book chapters and review articles. Professor Moller established the Aage and Margareta Moller Scholarship for Veterans of the War in Iraq as a declaration of support for the men and women in uniform who served the United States. He is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Tinnitus Research Initiative Foundation.
