Coping with December’s Challenges

To help you cope with the dual challenges of wintertime stress and the holidays, the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District is hosting a special mental health event in December.

Snoqualmie, WA, November 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Join a panel of therapists and counselors for a one-hour “Lunch & Learn” panel discussion beginning at 12:00 noon on December 1st. Bring your questions and comments and be prepared to discuss coping with year-end stress. For example, when is it appropriate to seek professional help rather than just talk to a friend? Location is the Snoqualmie Fire Department. Lunch is free, courtesy of the Hospital Foundation, but space is limited so please RSVP at www.SVHDlunchandlearn.eventbrite.com.

This event is equally appropriate for health and human services professionals, family caregivers, care receivers, or for anyone else who otherwise may find the end of the year stressful. Lunch & Learns are scheduled for the first Thursday of each month and begin promptly at 12:00 noon. In 2012 look for a series of Lunch & Learns around life transitions.

Safeguarding the health of our communities, the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District operates the local hospital, emergency room services, primary care and other clinics. Visit www.snoqualmiehospital.org, email info@snoqualmiehospital.org or call 425-831-2300.

Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation financially underwrites costs for public forums such as Lunch & Learns, fundraises for Affordable Access vouchers, supports Hospital District staff and patients, and awards scholarships for youth pursing healthcare careers. For more information, including about the 2012 SVHF Golf for Health Tournament, contact Kim Arellano at foundation@snoqualmiehosptial.org or 425-260-3140.
