Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This

Mother's Day Contest invites writers to share their "I told you so!" stories about their moms. Maybe she told you not to hang around certain friends or if you married Suzy she would be bad news. For that reason, this Mother's Day contest is dedicated to the warnings given by mothers.

Raleigh-Durham, NC, April 26, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Baby Boomer Author Beverly Mahone has teamed up with Heal Yourself Talk Radio and Rebecca White for a contest placing the spotlight on the good, but often ignored, advice mothers give to their children when they're young.

In 800 words or less, you’re invited to write an essay about one warning in particular your mother gave you when you were younger but you failed to heed her advice and found out later that she was RIGHT all along. Tell your story. It can be humorous or very serious.

Five finalists will be selected from all entries. The first place winner will receive some fabulous prizes (including cash) totaling more than $500! One of the perks is an interview on Heal Yourself Talk Radio with Rebecca White and :30 promotional ad on the popular baby boomer show “Whatever!” with host Beverly Mahone. All of the finalists will receive gifts. (A complete list of sponsors will be announced shortly).

Entry deadline is May 9th. Winners will be announced on Mother's Day. All entries should be sent to: babyboomervalentine@gmail.com with mother's day contest noted on the subject line.
