Educational Marketing Group, sponsor of the International Brand Master competition, is accepting nominations for the 2011 International Brand Master award.

Parker, CO, November 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The search is on for the 2011 International Brand Master, sponsored by Educational Marketing Group. Nominations are being accepted now through Friday, December 16, 2011 on EMG’s website at http://www.emgonline.com/Academy/Pages/EMG-Academy/International-Brand-Master/2011-International-Brand-Master/Nomination-Form. The International Brand Master Award is an annual honor awarded to a top professional in educational marketing who has demonstrated exceptional skill and expertise in marketing, communications, brand management, or a related field, and has had outstanding success during the past year.

An International Brand Master is an educational marketing professional who:

Is a current marketing and/or communications professional employed by an educational organization anywhere in the world;
Has at least 3 years of professional marketing or communications experience;
Has demonstrated exceptional skill and expertise in marketing, communications, brand management, or related fields;
Has attained outstanding success or realized exceptional achievement during the calendar year;
Is a model of ethical and professional conduct;
Exemplifies a willingness and ability to advance the marketing profession.

Nominate a deserving colleague, or yourself, for that matter. There is no better way to celebrate the success of an educational brand than by nominating the person(s) who have helped lift it to the top.

A top-notch panel of judges comprised of EMG senior consultants, prior Brand Master awardees, and several additional experienced volunteers from the profession will carefully review the credentials and achievements of each nominee. This panel selects up to three finalists based on their credentials and achievements.

Marketing practitioners from around the world then have the opportunity to vote for their candidate of choice from among the finalists. The scores of the select panel of judges and the public votes are combined to determine the 2011 International Brand Master.

This year's winner will join an elite club of previous International Brand Masters who have been presented the most prestigious award available for marketing professionals in higher education:

2010: John Lichtenberg, Chief Marketing & Enrollment Officer at Walsh College
2009: Andrew Careaga, Director of Communications at Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Since the award started in 2009, nominations have come in from across the U.S. and around the world, including submissions from the Netherlands, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Thailand. Last year, highly successful volunteer judges in the higher ed marketing field hailed from the U.S., United Kingdom, and Canada. And during the public voting portion of the finalists, over 1,600 votes were cast worldwide via EMG’s website and Twitter.
