Daytona Beach Private Investigator Authors Book Chapter

Harvey E. Morse, President of Locaters International, Inc., authored a chapter in the book, “Advanced Private Investigation,” on locating missing heirs. Mr. Morse’s family has continuously served the legal community since 1939, helping to locate missing and unknown heirs. Mr. Morse is also a Florida police sergeant serving in Volusia County.

A excerpt from the book, "...there are two types of genealogists: one does exactly what everyone understand, tracing a family tree or 'roots' back as far as time and documents permit, and forensic genealogy, which only requires the heir finder to go back in time far enough so living relatives are determined which category of relationship are in compliance with a specific state or country's laws. Private investigators, who locate heirs, are the latter."

Harvey served as Chair of the State of Florida’s Licensing Board known as the Private Security Advisory Council for ten consecutive years, as appointed by the Secretary of State, which regulates all private investigators, polygraph operators, security officers, armed guards and repossessors. Additionally, Morse is a fully certified and sworn Florida law enforcement officer having graduated first in his class at the police academy, many years ago.
