Marginal Boundaries Announces Beyond Boundaries Photo Contest

Marginal Boundaries promotes the best travel photos from around the world with their holiday Beyond Boundaries photo contest, designed to showcase cultural diversity.

Cancun, Mexico, November 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Marginal Boundaries, the production company behind the Live Like a Local series of travel guides educating first-timers as well as veteran location independent digital nomads on how to live just like the locals do in cities around the world, announces the Beyond Boundaries 2011 holiday photo contest. Starting November 21st, 2011, travelers, locals and location independent digital nomads alike from around the world are invited to submit their best photos to showcase cultural diversity and the beauty of Planet Earth.

The Beyond Boundaries contest winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to Amazon.com, along with a copy of the Live Like a Local in Cancun, Mexico travel guide from Marginal Boundaries. The 2nd place prize is a $50 gift certificate and a copy of the guide, while the 3rd place winner walks away with a copy of the popular tutorial on what it’s like to live in Cancun. Contest submissions are accepted from now until midnight of November 30th, 2011.

Judging for the contest will be done by a panel of peers via the Facebook page for Marginal Boundaries. The three photos with the most “likes” by the end of the contest will walk away with the winners. The event is created by T.W. Anderson, founder and main creative force behind Marginal Boundaries. A location independent digital nomad, Anderson has been traveling the globe since 1999 and living abroad as a digital nomad since January of 2008, and he created Marginal Boundaries as a way to educate people on just how marginal the boundaries of maps really are.

“I’ve been truly blessed for more than a decade to have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of cultures around the world, and I’m looking forward to sharing some of that diversity with people through the Beyond Boundaries contest,” stated Anderson. “I think one of the biggest challenges facing humanity is the understanding that we are all human beings, and the lines that governments draw on maps are nothing more than imaginary. We are all the same species, and celebrating the beauty of cultures, people and places around the world is something we should be able to enjoy regardless of what country you were born in.”

Marginal Boundaries is a travel company founded in April of 2011 by Anderson, with the first three guides in the signature Live Like a Local series offered over the course of their first year. Currently they offer Cancun, Mexico along with Sofia, Bulgaria and Bogota, Colombia, although the latter two aren’t available until late December. “Traveling is my primary passion, and sharing that cultural awareness is a big part of what Marginal Boundaries is all about,” says Tim. “This contest allows me to share the beauty of the planet and its various peoples with anyone who has a passion for traveling and learning about their brothers and sisters around the world.”
