Philadelphia, PA, April 28, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- Learning By Grace, Inc., the manager of leading online Christian homeschooling academies, has launched its Jr. Picasso Contest with plans of filling the virtual halls of its online Art Gallery by featuring students' works of art.
“Just because our students are homeschooled doesn’t mean that their artwork should only be viewed by mom and dad. Students who enter the Jr. Picasso Contest will showcase their art in front of potentially millions of viewers,” says Mimi Rothschild, founder of the Learning By Grace Academies. “This way, Aunt Edna in Poughkeepsie can cherish her favorite niece’s artwork even though she lives thousands of miles away.”
The Jr. Picasso Contest will enable children, homeschooling and otherwise, to participate in a fun activity while cultivating their interest in art. There will be two Grand Prize Winners – one in grades PreK-5 and one from grades 6-12 – who will receive a gift certificate to an online art supply store.
“Normally, the artwork of homeschooling students would be appreciated only by parents or close relatives,” says Rothschild. The Jr. Picasso artwork entries will be displayed on special webpages available anywhere in the world. A virtual Art Gallery is being prepared to house the digital artwork for easy viewing.
Learning By Grace is encouraging all students, not only homeschoolers, to share their artwork by entering the Jr. Picasso Contest.
Students can submit your art work at one of the three following locations:
The MorningStar Academy – www.TheMorningStarAcademy.org/jrpicasso
The Jubilee Academy – www.TheJubileeAcademy.org/jrpicasso
The Grace Academy – www.TheGraceAcademy.org/jrpicasso
