Calm, Health and Happiness Heading for Long Beach

SammaDitthi is a non-profit grassroots Buddhist organization, whose aim is to deliver the benefits of health and wellbeing to local residents and businesses.

Long Beach, CA, December 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In a world where coping with daily life is too often set against the background of anxiety, pain and other mental and physical health problems, the new SammaDitthi meditation studio opening in Long Beach provides a welcoming breath of fresh air.

SammaDitthi is a non-profit grassroots Buddhist organization, whose aim is to deliver the benefits of health and wellbeing to local residents and businesses.

“We see stress everywhere we look,” says Director Todd Cornell. “But you don’t have to be a Buddhist monk to experience the health benefits of meditation. Even brief courses in meditative techniques make a difference. And the benefits are realized immediately.”

The SammaDitthi Meditation Studio will be holding an Open-House on Saturday December 17th 2011 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Open House on December 17th will be of real interest to everyone. Visitors don’t need to have a special interest in meditation or Buddhism says Todd, they just need to be ready to experience possibly the biggest calming influence of their lives.

The centre will be offering one-on-one or group sessions, and will even tailor make sessions for local businesses in their own offices.

The benefits of mindfulness meditation, according to the SammaDitthi vision, are surprisingly sustainable. The improvements don’t end with individual sessions, and continue to help individuals build their own abilities to face daily challenges with confidence rather than trepidation. Unlike many meditation courses, which can last several weeks rather than days, SammaDitthi have developed techniques to shorten time frames without affecting outcomes. Results, they suggest, can be even better when the process is both shorter and instinctively beneficial.

All visitors will be welcome to the December 17th Open House. They will learn about the founder of SammaDitthi, the venerable Kong Hai in Taiwan; and they will begin to understand that the balance which everyone needs in their lives, is closer at hand than they thought. The centre also recognizes that people with busy lives have limited opportunities to find time for themselves, so schedules ensure there’s something to suit everyone.
