)-- Planet Technologies, a world-wide leading Microsoft consulting firm, announced today that it has promoted Clayton Cobb to the position of Vice President of Emerging Markets. In this role, Clayton will build on his success leading Planet’s Denver business practice and expand the company’s geographical footprint into new regions. Clayton will be working closely with Planet’s state and local government, federal, health and commercial business executives to capitalize on Planet’s award winning success in these market areas as Planet continues to expand its U.S. presence.
Having joined Planet in 2008, Clayton spearheaded the development of the Central U.S. market for Planet and assembled an elite team of Microsoft consultants based out of Denver, Colorado. Clients include the National Renewable Energy Lab, Department of Interior and more. As part of his business efforts, Clayton has been a major factor in driving Planet’s contributions among the Microsoft consulting community at-large by driving best practices adoption of Microsoft technologies through blogs, labs, free community technology events and more. Prior to joining Planet, Clayton was a senior consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton and has served in the United States military as a Marine.
