Hedge Fund and Private Equity Guru Quizzed Over Article

Hedge Funds and Private Equity Management Guru, Dr. A S Johan was recently interviewed By Jayke Umarezz, a widely followed life-style commentator, over some controversial issues raised in his recent article entitled - Why are Profitable Hedge Fund and Private Equity Management Companies being sold off to the public now?

Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R., May 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In his article, Dr. A S Johan suggested several possible motives for the IPO of shares in Hedge Fund and Private Equity Management companies at the present moment and discussed whether the shares would be a good investment for the average investor. Dr. Johan does not seem to think so. He offered several compelling reasons.

When asked if he thought Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds would still attract investors and continue to grow, he said they would. However, Dr. Johan believes that their management structures will change considerably and inevitably affect earnings at management companies.

He also believed that the current amount and type of leverage used by Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds to record unrealistically higher returns will come back to bite both investors and lenders.

He said that he was in the advanced stages of developing a strategy that, while offering safety of investor’s capital, will produce consistent distributable returns rather than just so called paper profits.
