First Two Townhomes in Emerging Development Near Deer Valley Resort Now Complete
Duplex at new Deer Crest development sets tone for future green community.
Park City, UT, December 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A newly constructed townhome in the gated community of Deer Crest at Deer Valley Resort is now available to rent through Resorts West, a Park City-based luxury vacation rental provider.
The townhome, part of a duplex located on a new street called West Harmony Drive, is the beginning of a project that will soon become a neighborhood of environmentally friendly residences and lodge condos, says Tomi McCarthy of the project’s developer, McCarthy Custom Homes. Once one more property in the development is complete, McCarthy added, a funicular will connect the community directly to Deer Valley Resort's Jordanelle Run for ski-in/ski-out access. A timeline for new residences has not yet been determined.
When complete, the funicular will become one of the most innovative ski lifts in the country, featuring five small wind turbines and solar assistance technology. The environmentally friendly design will complement the development's use of green materials and processes wherever possible.
"The homes are as green as big homes can be," McCarthy said, citing solar panels and fully recycled roof shingles as just some of the environmentally friendly features of the homes.
The townhome represented by Resorts West, aptly named Harmony Haus,
features 5 bedrooms, four gas fireplaces, granite countertops and hardwood floors. McCarthy and her husband Mike added unique touches like a two-way fireplace in the master bath, a wine cellar with stained glass accents and a Grand Theatre with an indoor bar.
