Mr. Basement Helps Make the Holidays Special for Sick Children

Local basement waterproofing company sponsors the University of Maryland Children's Hospital's Holiday Recess at Port Discovery Children's Museum.

White Marsh, MD, December 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The holidays can be a trying time for many families facing hardships across the country, but children may be the hardest hit. There are many who can't enjoy the excitement and joy of Christmas, presents and family get-togethers, some due to poor health or an illness. To help make the holidays a little brighter for sick children and their families, Mr. Basement and several other local companies are sponsoring the University of Maryland Children's Hospital's Holiday Recess at Port Discovery Children's Museum on December 12.

The Holiday Recess will be hosted by 105.7 The Fan as well as Ray Rice and Brian Roberts. The event will allow the siblings of sick children to pick out gifts for their ailing siblings while enjoying dinner with their parents. They will also be able to meet Ray Rice and Brian Roberts, other Ravens players, and Poe and the Oriole Bird.

"Having two daughters, one with special needs, I have a great appreciation for what siblings have to go through," said Ron Greenbaum, president of Mr. Basement. "It's with great pleasure that we can participate in this wonderful cause."
