Nottingham, United Kingdom, December 13, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Red Yeast Rice has been consumed for hundreds of years for its health benefits but only recently were these understood and attributed to a component in the Red Yeast Rice known as Monacolin K. Monacolin K has similar properties to statin molecules used in pharmaceutical products to reduce the harmful LDL cholesterol levels in blood.
Sales Director Mark Broughton commented “Red Yeast has been around for a very long time but it is only after the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) acknowledged and gave positive opinion about the health benefits that we decided to develop these products. We have a high quality source of Red Yeast Rice and so have been able to develop a series of products to meet EFSA requirements and claims such as 'Can help maintain blood LDL Cholesterol concentrations' will be possible."
The Red Yeast Rice range of products includes, raw material ingredient, immediate release capsules and powders as well as sustained release formulations.
The Red Yeast Rice ingredient and products will be made available for private label clients in the UK and Europe, further details are available from the Chrysalis website or by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
