Panera Bread Offers Picnic Solution to Reduce Family Stress for Summer Outings

Raleigh, NC, May 15, 2007 --( Joe and Diane Bastian, co-owners of BreadWinners at the Triangle, a franchisee owner of Panera Bread, announce a new approach for the “on-the-go” family. With summer fast approaching, Via Panera “picnic” boxes offer families an alternative to time consuming meal preparation and fast food dining.

Summer is a time for relaxation. While enjoying the many activities of summer like swimming, hiking, boating and concerts, oftentimes, quality and nutrition are left behind, especially when trying to feed a group of five or more. Panera Bread offers a quick solution for families on the go.

Variety is the spice of life and the Via Panera Deluxe lunch box offers the variety everyone enjoys. The Deluxe box comes loaded with sandwiches, salad, chips, pickles and cookies to feed five or more. Panera Bread’s menu also offers beverages and “Soup For A Group” to round out your picnic.

“Calling Panera in advance to order from Via Panera made the difference between enjoying a family outing and being stuck in the kitchen,” says customer Brian Van Norman.

There are a few things to keep in mind when ordering Via Panera: all Triangle locations offer delivery, all orders need to be placed in advance by phone or fax, all assortment boxes feed five or more and all individual box meals require a minimum five box order. When ordering, specify the number of people to be fed.

Panera Bread’s Breadwinners at the Triangle franchise operates 13 locations. The first area location opened in 1999 at Crabtree Valley Mall. For more information or to find the nearest Panera location, visit
