The Accessories Resource Team Elects Small Business Owner to Join Board of Directors
Vanessa Turney, Owner of San Antonio, TX-based, Light by Design will be Secretary of the Accessories Resource Team Board of Directors.
San Antonio, TX, December 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Accessories Resource Team (ART), the decorative accessory industry association, is adding Vanessa Turney owner of Light by Design, a San Antonio, TX-based lighting studio, to its Board of Directors. Turney will hold the position of Secretary where her focus will be membership and to generate interest for the ART’s many events, such as the annual conference, taking place this year in New Orleans, featuring HGTV’s John Gidding.
Founded in 1988, ART is the only trade group in the home furnishings industry dedicated to promoting the decorative accessory segment. Members include manufacturers/importers, retailers, sales representatives and other industry professionals and sources. “I am very excited and honored to be an Executive Board Member on this year’s Accessory Resource Team (ART). I have never in all my years of lighting been exposed to a more dedicated, sophisticated, and intelligent group of people in the home accessory and lighting business,” Turney said. ART’s Board of Directors prepares and organizes the organization’s prestigious ARTS Awards, the annual conference, regional educational seminars, and other events.
