About Thom J. Mansen

Thom J. Mansen is an Associate Professor at the University of Utah, College of Nursing. Dr. Mansen received his Master’s degree from the University of Utah and a Ph.D. in Nursing Education and Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Mansen’s expertise is in Assessment, Administration and Pathophysiology. Dr. Mansen has presented at the International Nursing Management Conferences in Turkey and has authored a textbook on assessment, published by Prentice-Hall. He is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Utah Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau (Gamma Rho). Dr Mansen’s was an Assistant Professor at Hope College from 1982 to 1987 and the Baccalaureate Program Coordinator at the University of Utah from 2000 to 2005. In his free time, Dr. Mansen enjoys the Utah opera and playing the piano and organ.
