Horse Rescue Haven Featured in Two TV News Broadcasts

Horse Rescue Haven shown in Thanksgiving and Christmas TV news broadcasts.

Sparks, NV, December 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Horse Rescue Haven, a 501c3 charity in Northern Nevada, that rescues, rehabilitates and adopts back out abused horses to worthy new homes, was recently featured on two Reno television news broadcasts.

At Thanksgiving Fox TV-11 interviewed the co-founders and operators of Horse Rescue Haven and showed a dozen of the horses they have rescued. There also was a Christmas news story that aired on December 19, 2011, on KTVN TV-2. Links to both of these interesting news broadcasts are available on the Horse Rescue Haven web site, HorseRescueHaven.com.

Horse Rescue Haven is operated entirely with a volunteer Board of Directors and a group of dedicated volunteer laborers, so donated funds go directly to supporting their horse rescue, rehabilitation and adoption programs. This worthy organization was founded in July 2010, to fill a vital community need, since other animal welfare agencies and shelters were not equipped to care for horses.

Andrew Clough, the President of Horse Rescue Haven, says, "As we enter 2012, we are hopeful everyone who cares as much about horses, as we do, will remember Horse Rescue Haven with their monetary donations and contributions of hay, supplies and professional services, so we can continue our vital mission. Horse Rescue Haven, and our volunteers really care about the living conditions and quality of life of these poor horses, since abused horses face such a dreadful future, without our intervention. After all, horses who are locked in stalls or pastures, across Northern Nevada, cannot feed and water themselves. If their owners are unable, or unwilling, to provide proper feed, watering, hoof trimming, dental and medical support, their future becomes a negative downward spiral that eventually ends in a painful death. For most of these abused horses we are their only salvation. The individuals and businesses who support our organization make our rescue, rehabilitation and adoption services possible, in the year ahead. During this joyous holiday season, we ask people to search their hearts and use their holiday giving to further our vital horse rescue activities."

Horse Rescue Haven is located at 756 Quintero Lane, Sparks, NV 89441, and can be contacted by calling (775) 425-1156 or by emailing Horsefolks@aol.com.
