)-- Sunder Plastic Surgery is Now Offering Xeomin, the FDA approved alternative to Botox. Dr. Sarmela Sunder is one of the first facial plastic surgeons to offer the product in California. While Xeomin will be available for wide release in the spring of 2012, Dr. Sunder was selected to be one of a handful of facial plastic surgeons to offer it in time for the holidays.
“It is great to be able to offer patients Xeomin as another option, in addition to Botox and Dysport. It’s a great addition to the services that we offer. Patients look very natural and refreshed, and have been thrilled with the results,” says Dr. Sarmela Sunder.
Xeomin can be used to smooth facial lines and treat mild to severe facial wrinkles, working in a similar manner to Botox, but with the added benefit of being preservative-free. Because it does not have an accessory protein, it is considered a pure version of botulinum toxin. This makes it less likely for a patient to have an allergic reaction to the product and reduces the chance that a patient becomes resistant to it as they sometimes do with Botox.
