CMA Expands Its Financial Education with an Interactive Website for Children

An interactive website for the “Smart Investor” program is another step by CMA to expand its specialized program of financial education for children. This step comes after the magazine aimed for children, awareness lectures at schools and the “financial football” game.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, December 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- An interactive website for the “Smart Investor” program is another step by CMA to expand its specialized program of financial education for children. This step comes after the magazine aimed for children, awareness lectures at schools and the “financial football” game.

The “Smart Investor” website is a part of CMA’s social program for financial awareness. This program aims to spread the correct financial culture among the youth between the ages 9-14 as they are the expected future investors. The primary task of the program is to transform the proper financial transaction rules and the financial education’s positive behavior to an interacted material with the targeted groups. That is to establish a financially conscious generation and prepare them for positive interaction with the community. The program also aims to educate the students in all daily financial transactions as well as the principles of money management and investments in addition to an introduction to the financial bodies and the role of each one. The program also aims to plant the Islamic morals regarding money and their rights in the students.

A specialized team of consultants and financial and educational professionals is responsible of preparing the content so it would have a proper scientific and educational background for the targeted group. CMA here cited other countries’ experiences that had positive effects in this area.

CMA hopes that this website would become a trusted source in financial education. The website will include several sections and sub-sections such as: the Smart Investor Forum, stories and anecdotes with the Smart Investor known characters, the Smart Painter, a bunch of games and quizzes as well as simplified math and information. The website will also include a section for the Smart Investor friends with their pictures and information about their hobbies and interests.

Launching the website was followed by three webpages on Facebook ,Twitter and YouTube where they will be up to date with the Smart Investor news and activities as well as some simplified awareness messages.

It is known that the awareness to investors of all levels is one primary goal of CMA. It has already published 14 awareness booklets that are distributed for free on the Roadshows at school, universities and malls across the kingdom. These booklets are also available on the official website. CMA also created pages on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube that include instant information of the latest resolutions by CMA in addition to the awareness messages.
