Technology Associates Account Manager Named to Women Against Multiple Sclerosis Committee

Cary, NC, May 03, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Eric Hobbs, president of Technology Associates, has announced that Laura Jones, account manager for the firm, has been named to the Steering Committee for the Women Against MS (WAMS), a key fundraising event for the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of the National MS Society. In this position, Jones will serve as a liaison between the organization and the Triangle area community, planning the event, soliciting event sponsors and communicating the goals of the MS Society, as well as assisting in heightening the overall awareness of the organization locally, regionally and nationally.

A major item for the WAMS Steering Committee in 2007 will be to coordinate the organization’s annual Women Against MS Leadership Luncheon tentatively set for November. Event donations will fund research into the cause, treatment and cure for multiple sclerosis as well as local programming for people with MS and their families.

“It is an honor to have been named to the Steering Committee for North Carolina’s Women Against MS,” said Jones. “The National MS Society is dedicated to achieving a world free of MS. I look forward to contributing my own efforts toward the higher cause of progress and awareness.”

About Women Against MS:
Women Against MS (WAMS) is a nationwide education and fundraising program founded in 1999 to support the mission of the National MS Society. The vision of WAMS is to bring together a strong body of women to fight a disease that primarily impacts women and to raise critical funds to support related research, education and programs. The WAMS event has a steering committee of women leaders committed to the MS cause, each making efforts to involve friends and business associates to join them for lunch and make a set minimum charitable donation to help end the devastating effects of MS. Today, some 20 national MS Society chapters are hosting WAMS luncheons across the country that draw between 200-700 attendees who come to learn more about multiple sclerosis and make charitable donations to help friends, family members, neighbors and colleagues. The program has already raised over $2.5 million to support the work of the Society. To learn more, visit http://www.nationalmssociety.org/wams.asp.
