Bath, United Kingdom, December 22, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- The Cow & Gate team of nutritionists, weaning experts and baby care advisors have produced a free 5-step weaning plan that shows mums how to wean their babies, taking them from first spoonfuls to three puréed meals a day. All mums that are in the Mum & Baby club that are approaching weaning will be sent one in the post.
As the UK’s leading brand in baby feeding, Cow & Gate has pooled its understanding and expertise in weaning
, baby food and nutrition in this easy-to-use 5 step weaning plan. It has been designed with mums in mind, allowing them to progress at the best pace for them and their baby. The 5-step weaning plan is completely free and can be ordered from Cow & Gate’s website.
The 5-step weaning plan is easy to follow and covers everything to do with first weaning for babies. This includes explaining what weaning is and when to start, through to how to wean and the equipment mum will need. The 5 steps of the plan are:
1. First spoonfuls
2. Introducing breakfast
3. Introducing variety
4. Introducing meat, fish and alternatives
5. Establishing three meals a day
Each step includes a goal, tips, advice, do’s and don’ts, shopping lists and money-off coupons for baby food. For mums who would prefer to make their own homemade baby food, there are loads of recipes to choose from. These have been developed by baby nutrition experts and tailored for each step in the plan. Cow & Gate are also sending this out to more than 20,000 mums a month in their Mum and Baby Club.
There’s also a feeding chart in each step, so mums can keep a track of what their baby enjoyed eating. The chart encourages mums to keep trying the foods their baby may be less keen on, as it can take several attempts before a baby decides whether they like something or not.
Cow & Gate have taken the time to make sure that mums aren’t overwhelmed with too much information and can easily guide their way through the whole process of introducing their baby to their first foods – something they know a lot of mums worry about. They’ve also worked with TommeeTippee to offer a handy weaning starter kit
, which includes spoons, food pots, a bib, splat mat and a range of Cow and Gate baby foods, all presented in a handy cool bag for a cost of £15 including delivery. And finally Cow & Gate have a 24 hour freephone Careline for mums who would like more support one to one, or more recipe ideas.
With the 5 step weaning plan, the weaning starter kit and baby care advisors on hand 24 hours a day, Cow & Gate have really got weaning covered off for mums.
