Braiding and Loc Expert Brings African Braiding Techniques to Professional Stylists

Atlanta, GA, January 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Atlanta Natural Hair Care presents Djea Professional Braiding and Loc Courses being held the first quarter of 2012 every other Monday beginning February 13, 2012 at Djea Natural Hair Spa in Conyers, Georgia. The courses are designed for stylists and barbers looking to add braiding and locing services to their repertoire or to improve their braiding and locing skills. Classes may be purchased individually or as a complete package (which provides a 40% discount). Djea Professional Braiding and Loc Courses provided stylists and barbers with the skills and techniques they need to become or advance as a braid and loc service providers for today’s growing number of natural hair clients. The loc and braid techniques taught are designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced stylists or barbers and are taught by Djea Natural Hair Spa Owner and Master Cosmetologist Ginette Gilbert.

Atlanta Natural Hair Care Professional member, Ginette Gilbert has both traditional African hair braiding training as well as professional state approved training and licensing. Ginette Gilbert’s work has been featured in several magazines including, Black Hair Magazine, Metro Style, and Fabulous Hair Magazine. In 1999 Ginette Gilbert, known to friends and clients as Gigi, began her professional career in New Jersey working at an African Braid shop where she learned a variety of traditional and contemporary African braiding techniques. In 2008, Gigi earned her cosmetology license and opened her own salon, Djea Natural Hair Spa. Ginette Gilbert is also a Georgia Board of Cosmetology approved continuing education provider and is providing continuing education credits for each of the Djea Professional Braiding and Loc Courses. Throughout her career Gigi has provided private trainings for barbers and stylists and says she is “excited to now be able to offer group classes in her own perm and relaxer free salon, Djea Natural Hair Spa.”
