Sessions will include information about the investment potential of timeshare and fractional projects in Latin America, the emergence of new business models and some potential for controversy.

Orlando, FL, January 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Perspective Magazine ( http://perspectivemagazine.com ) has released the details of the Day One sessions scheduled for February 1st, 2012 during the Global Networking Expo GNEX 2012 – The Global Meeting of Minds at the Ritz Carlton Cancun in Cancun, Mexico.

The day will begin with a Welcome Address from Juan Carlos Gonzalez Hernandez, Tourism Secretary for the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. The program then proceeds with a presentation from Craig Morganson, CEO, Holiday Systems International who has been working tirelessly in efforts to lift the Travel Warning issued on Mexico by the U.S. and will give an account of what is being done to safeguard tourism in the country.

Gregg Anderson – Global Vice President, The Registry Collection and Marcos Agostini – Vice President, Latin America, Resort Sales & Service, Interval International will continue with presentations about current and future projects and why they feel that Latin America is a major hotspot for the shared ownership industry. Latin America continues to be one of the fastest growing regions of the world when it comes to vacation ownership, with over 900 properties in the region and another 80 projects started in 2010.

The program takes an extended Networking Break in the specially-created networking lounge designed for business meetings. Then, in “Reinventing The Wheel,” a variety of panelists will discuss new and innovative business models being created to engage with consumers in the "new normal" following the global economic downturn.

John Spence, Chairman, Karma Royal Group, will give the Keynote Address and provide insights from his distinguished career in resort development. Named Ernst & Young's 2010 Australian Entrepreneur of the Year, Mr. Spence's experience in creating Karma Royal Group in 1993, without institutional funding support, and growing it into one of Asia's leading developers of boutique resorts is an outstanding example to resort professionals looking for advice on how to succeed under the current market conditions.

The “Tools To Grow And Improve Your Business” panel features industry veterans who will provide attendees with insightful methods to increase sales, improve processes and deliver value to the consumer.

Following lunch, “The 800 Pound Gorilla In The Room” session is an open forum debate about the most controversial issues that involve owners, resorts and regulatory leaders around the world which could bring changes that, while painful, are necessary for the overall growth and sustained success of the industry.

The mood then lightens as attendees head to the beach for the Palapa Speed Networking session. With a unique, never done before twist, this networking event consists of a series of Palapas, or thatched- roof areas, lined up on the beach where delegates will move from one Palapa to another, giving and receiving quick introductions in a fun, social setting prior to the Networking Beach Party.

“Our Day One program is packed with information and numerous opportunities for delegates to engage and create business,” said Steve Luba, Chief Operating Officer, Perspective Magazine North America. “Between the presentations, interactive panel sessions, networking events and the expected fireworks from the 800 Pound Gorilla session, we’re in for an eventful day.”

GNEX 2012 will take place from January 31st – February 2nd, 2012 as top decision-makers gather to advance the vacation ownership industry in the first industry event of the year. Details regarding the Day Two agenda will be announced as they become available.
