X Core Fitness to offer Melt - A Barre Workout At Downtown Worcester, MA Studio starting with 2 Free classes on January 17th and 19th. Classes will be every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm. Melt workouts will be led by instructor Meghan Wood.

Worcester, MA, January 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- X Core Fitness is exited to announce the addition of melt - A Barre Workout to the programs being offered at their downtown Worcester, MA studio. Classes will be every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm and will kick off with two free intro classes on January 17th and 19th at 6:30pm.

Melt is a total body workout that burns fat, produces lifted seats, sculpted arms, slim thighs, and flat abs. This non-impact, joint friendly program combines elements from ballet, Pilates, and yoga into a 45-50 minute intense melting session – no jumping or bouncing found here. "Melt’s goal is to create a long, lean body, without adding any bulk. We do this through concentrated isometric exercises followed by stretching to lengthen and sculpt your muscles, all set to amazing, high energy music. We utilize our own body resistance to reach muscle fatigue. And muscle fatigue is what changes our bodies and burns fat," says Meghan Wood the instructor for melt. "The workout requires focus – you will feel 'present' in class and will be able to block out the craziness of life, if only for an hour. melt is your time to treat yourself and your body... melt your cares away while melting your thighs – doesn’t get much better than that."

A professional dancer for over 25 years, Meghan has an extensive knowledge of many forms of dance and movement including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and cheer dance. She has competed in dance both locally and nationally at the high school and collegiate level. She was a co-founder for the Boston based DancEdge Dance Company and a member of the Boston Cannons Dance Team. She most recently was the Captain/Choreographer for the Boston Blazers Sparks Dance Team. To keep in shape, Meghan actively seeks out new and enjoyable ways to work out. Pilates and yoga are part of her routine along with X Core’s Bootcamp program. She then discovered barre classes and immediately wanted to become certified. Her dance experience and sound technique serves as a launch pad for this innovative workout. Since barre workouts are rooted in basic dance technique, Meghan feels right at home and is very excited to bring her creation “melt: a barre workout” to X Core.
