SeaWave Announces Integrator FleetBroadband Terminal

Combines Inmarsat FleetBroadband 250/500 with SeaWave Integrator Functionality for Extended Capabilities

Middletown, RI, May 11, 2007 --(PR.com)-- SeaWave today announced they will provide a communications system that combines the IT management capabilities of their flagship Integrator product with the advanced technology of Inmarsat FleetBroadband. More than just another satellite terminal, the SeaWave Integrator FB is a complete communications station with FleetBroadband embedded in an intelligent system that includes other satellite and cellular hardware.

Known as a remote management gateway, the Integrator is a comprehensive system designed to take advantage of the increased bandwidth offered by Inmarsat's powerful I4 satellite constellation. Integrator FB will deliver SeaWave’s, patent pending 'virtual always-on' capabilities and a wealth of benefits that include remote system and network management, global tracking, voice/data least cost routing, VoIP, built-in PABX, antivirus, throughput optimization and more.

"Greater demands have been placed on shore IT personnel to provide timely reports for management and regulatory purposes," said Don Black, president of SeaWave. "For this reason, system reliability, remote access and information security are of paramount concern to all ship managers. Integrator FB will generate a reliable, remotely managed and optimized link between the vessel and shore-based Information Technology personnel. This managed link allows IT to administer the vessel as an extension of their shore network and gives crew the freedom to operate the vessel instead of maintaining data and software applications." Black added.

Historically, vessels have been required to contract with multiple vendors to obtain satellite hardware, voice/data applications, throughput optimization, tracking, remote management software, antivirus protection, information services, crew solutions, etc. Integrator FB will encompass all of these capabilities into one suite of elective services and eliminates the administration of multiple vendors.

"SeaWave has long specialized in developing systems using IP specialty protocols and technology. Inmarsat FB is the perfect platform to take full advantage of this experience and our unique capabilities," said Mark Witsaman, SeaWave's Chief Technology Officer. "Integrator FB will have the capability to monitor, troubleshoot and update communications stations using proactive diagnostics. System users will be able to access hardware and applications remotely and typically without any interruption to the crew." Witsaman added.

Integrator FB will be backward compatible with existing Inmarsat service technologies and will also work with Iridium, GSM/EDGE and land line access. There is no practical limit to the number of terminals or VoIP telephones that can be attached to Integrator FB. SeaWave Integrator FB will be available in both the high-gain and low-gain (250/500) satellite antenna platforms.
