A percentage of proceeds will support Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s commitment to helping children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.
“An event of this nature is the perfect means for promoting youth mentoring in the community, especially in the Central Florida area,” explains Aaron Wockenfuss, Partnership Development Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida. “Many of these participants are college graduates and are members of distinguished sororities or fraternities. It’s a powerful group to have promoting your organization and I’m confident that we’ll find some great volunteers among them.”
The event is sponsored by Goody®, Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference (MEAC), Orlando Professionals, and the AUC Magazine.
“There’s never been an event that celebrates our unique community and environment while encouraging friendly competition,” explains Tamara Oyejide, CEO of The HBCU Network. “This event brings together an effort to raise awareness while promoting good causes.”
