Cindy Made Them Cookies Partners with The Sydney & Alexandria Cohen Foundation a Portion of February Cookie Sales to Benefit South Florida Charity

A South Florida cookie company partners with nonprofit charity during the month of February to help raise money for premature babies.

Fort Lauderdale, FL, January 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Fort Lauderdale-based cookie business owner Cindy Banks is one kind cookie. During the month of February, her cookie business Cindy Made Them, is partnering with The Sydney & Alexandria Cohen Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization that was created by Plantation parents Jennifer and Brian Cohen after their twin daughters were born 10 weeks early. The Cohen’s have been raising money to buy GE Omnibed Giraffe Incubators so they can donate them to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Memorial Hospital West where their daughters spent the first five weeks of their lives.

Jennifer and Cindy met in 1999 when they both served as board members for Young Professionals for Covenant House.

“With Valentine’s Day approaching, we thought this was the perfect time to partner with each other,” said Cindy who started her business in 2010 after her friends encouraged her to sell her cookies.

When her three young daughters (including a set of twins) started school, Cindy found she had more time on her hands and soon found she was rolling in dough. Cindy Made Them has grown tremendously in the last year, attracting most of her clients on the Internet and through Facebook. She offers custom decorated sugar cookies in all shapes, from bunnies to bees, and cupcake pops in flavors including red velvet and carrot cake.

For the month of February, Cindy Made Them will be offering a special cookie box sampler that includes 14 cookies for $20.00. Included in the sampler are two custom “Sydney & Alexandria Cohen Foundation” sugar cookies along with brand new treats, ginger snaps and chocolate chips chocolate dipped pretzels. Gluten-free cookies are also available. Ten percent of all February cookie sales will be donated to the Sydney & Alexandria Cohen Foundation.
