The Shayler Foundation is a non-profit which helps women internationally realise their basic human rights.
The complications leading to a maternal death can occur without warning at any time during pregnancy and childbirth.. Most maternal deaths can be prevented if births are attended by skilled health personnel – doctors, nurses and midwives – who are regularly supervised and have the proper equipment and supplies.
