Homestead, La Buena Vida Top Wine Tour Voting

Grapevine Wine Tours guests pick quarterly favorites in wine and winery categories.

Grapevine, TX, February 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In its latest quarterly vote, guests of the Grapevine Wine Tours chose Homestead Winery as the city’s “Most Outstanding Winery” and La Buena Vida’s Red Headed Stepchild Sangria its “Most Outstanding Wine.”

Every guest of the Grapevine Wine Tours between October 1 and December 31, 2011, was asked to vote on their favorite wine and winery. Homestead has been a frequent winner in the winery category since the tours began in July 2010. This is the first time one of La Buena Vida’s wines has been recognized by Grapevine Wine Tours passengers.

“We never get tired of positive feedback, and we always look forward to seeing the Grapevine Wine Tours bus pull up at our winery,” said John Hatcher of Homestead. “We enjoy introducing all our guests to our wines, especially watching their faces light up as they see and taste for themselves how wonderful Texas wines can be.”

“La Buena Vida Vineyards is the wine lover's best kept secret, where moments are savored and secrets shared,” said Tiffany McLean, general manager at La Buena Vida. “Grapevine Wine Tours brings in new faces on a weekly basis and has become a great partner for all of Grapevine’s wineries. The Redheaded Stepchild Sangria is a favorite wine for any palate and is enjoyed year-round. Definitely fun in a bottle!”

Tours rotate daily between Cross Timbers Winery, Delaney Vineyards, D’Vine Wine, Farina’s Winery & Café, Homestead, La Buena Vida Vineyards and Su Vino. Every four-hour excursion includes tastings at three wineries, a delicious meal, a tour of Historic Grapevine led by a professional guide, and transportation to and from local hotels on a 25-passenger tour bus.

“We wrapped up 2011 on a high note, with a record number of corporate groups and continued brisk business from the nearby hotels and residents across North Texas,” said Ladd Biro, co-owner of Grapevine Wine Tours. “We’re also getting a great deal of repeat business, thanks to our outstanding tour guides and the great service provided by Homestead, La Buena Vida and the other wineries.”

Lunch and dinner tours are affordably priced at $64.50 and $84.50, respectively. Group rates and deluxe packages designed for corporate outings, conference and convention groups, fundraisers, birthday and anniversary celebrations and other special occasions are also available.

At the conclusion of every tour, guests are asked to complete a customer service survey, which includes their choices for most outstanding winery and wine. Awards are announced quarterly and annually, exclusively by Grapevine Wine Tours.
