Bruce J. Himelstein to be Honored at 2007 AMA-DC M Awards Dinner

The M Awards also recognizes marketers and successful marketing campaigns that demonstrate solid strategy, brilliant innovation, and positive return on investment.

Washington, DC, May 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Bruce J. Himelstein, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, will be this year’s recipient of the American Marketing Association Washington DC Chapter’s (AMA-DC) Hall of Fame award on May 17 during its 2007 M Awards Dinner. Each year, AMA-DC presents the Hall of Fame Award to a leader who inspires others in the local marketing community, and has made distinguished and consistent contributions to the marketing profession. Himelstein has spent more than 25 years in the hotel industry. In 2006 he was recognized for his many professional achievements when the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association (HSMAI) named him one of the "Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing."

Horace Holmes, co-anchor of ABC 7/WJLA TV's weekend news and weekday general assignment reporter, will be the master of ceremonies.

The M Awards also recognizes marketers and successful marketing campaigns that demonstrate solid strategy, brilliant innovation, and positive return on investment. Top D.C. area marketers who meet or surpass their business objectives will receive recognition. Award categories include best marketing in the areas of corporate identity, campaigns, direct marketing, marketing research, collateral, promotions, public relations, investor relations, advertising and multimedia and computer-based marketing. The top entry will receive the Marketer of the Year award and the DC Chapter will honor the Member of the Year.
