IHG Selects Lanyon for Lead and Content Management

One of the largest hotel groups selects Lanyon solutions to enhance growth and process efficiency.

Irving, TX, February 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Lanyon, the leading provider of lead and content management solutions to the global hospitality market, today announced that IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), with more than 4,500 hotels and 666,000 guest rooms in 100 countries and territories, has selected Lanyon to provide lead management and content publishing. Lanyon will publish hotel content and rates for IHG and will deploy a customized white label lead management solution.

“The decision to work with Lanyon is a reflection of our commitment to ensuring the most efficient interaction possible with our corporate clients,” said Stephen Powell, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at IHG. “Lanyon is regarded as a thought leader in the RFP world, and we look forward to providing our outstanding sales professionals with access to their leading-edge solutions.”

With Lanyon’s RFPpublisher™ lead management solution, IHG benefits from a more efficient and cost effective way to stay current with the changes that take place in the constantly evolving RFP marketplace, along with the ability to interact more successfully with their corporate customers.

“Lanyon welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with IHG, an icon of the hotel industry,” said Ricky Castoldi, Regional Vice President of Supplier Solutions at Lanyon. "The GBTA is introducing fundamental changes to the hotel RFP process over the next two years, and those hotel chains still reliant on legacy technology risk being left behind or incurring huge expense to keep up. IHG’s decision to let Lanyon shoulder this burden further cements our status as the industry standard for RFP and content processing. We look forward to working with IHG’s sales teams to deliver a ground-breaking solution that will enhance their industry-leading skills and expertise."

Having IHG’s hotels on the same platform as many of their corporate customers will reduce the time required to respond to an RFP, improve the sales team’s ability to monitor RFP status, allow cross-selling of RFPs to additional properties, and provide an online negotiations platform, ultimately leading to a smoother interaction between buyer and supplier. Additionally, Lanyon’s acquisition of Uversa means that approximately two-thirds of IHG’s largest corporate customers are issuing their RFPs via Lanyon’s online hospitality marketplace.

The agreement with IHG will allow all of its properties to take part in Lanyon’s popular unsolicited bids service, Lanyon Market Leads™. This enables IHG properties to submit unsolicited bids to participating corporations in Lanyon’s network of more than 520 leading global travel buyers. IHG’s internal processes will be made more efficient by enhancements including single sign-on capability and tighter integration with other key elements of the IHG’s sales technology infrastructure.

Additionally, Lanyon’s industry leading content management software will provide IHG with a seamless process to manage the distribution of hotel data across key third party selling platforms such as GDS and online travel agencies. This ensures a consistent message will be delivered into the marketplace, while eliminating data duplication that often occurs in this process for major hotel chains.
