)-- The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association‘s (HBA) mission is to further the advancement and impact of women in healthcare worldwide. It runs a variety of events where it invites speakers to discuss diverse areas such as women in science and technology, being an entrepreneur, and the marketing of drugs, devices and diagnostics. The HBA is in its fourth decade and now has more than 6,000 individual members and over 120 corporate partners around the world.
Shayesteh’s presentation at the Basel meeting of HBA will focus on an introduction to regulatory affairs and its vital role in the life sciences industry. She will outline the day to day role of regulatory affairs managers and also share her experience in creating and running a company involved in this important field.
“I am very grateful to HBA for inviting me to share my experiences of being an entrepreneur in the life science sector,” commented Shayesteh. “I hope that my presentation will encourage other women to consider setting up their own businesses in this area that thrives on innovation. Thus, if you have ambitions to explore your own ideas it is an exciting field to work in.”
