Ten NE Ohio Fitness Centers to Hold Pedal For Heroes Veterans Fundraiser Events on Feb 26

Hudson, OH, February 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The first annual Pedal For Heroes event will be held at 10 health and fitness clubs across Northeast Ohio on Feb 26, 2012 at 1 pm.

“We are delighted with the participating fitness centers in the first annual Pedal For Heroes event,” said Jerry Lynch, one of the event organizers. “While we were disappointed that some of the larger facilities choose not to participate this year, we’re confident that they will join us next year in helping to build awareness of the organizations that help veterans with their struggles in returning from war.”

The following centers will hold Pedal For Heroes events: Cleveland State University Recreation Center in Cleveland, FitWorks in Mentor, Rocky River and Stow, LifeCenter Plus in Hudson, Mentor Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club in Mentor, Ohio CycleWorks and Indoor Cycling in Cuyahoga Falls, RP Fitness in Akron, Twinsburg Fitness Center in Twinsburg andUFit2 Fitness in Hudson.

The date of the event honors the day when Marine Lance Corporal Andy Nowacki, of Lake County, gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Teams of participants will cycle at their local fitness club for 262 minutes representing the 262 Ohio lives lost in the Middle East since 9/11/01.

Some of the charitable organizations supported with this fundraiser are Warriors Journey Home, Wheels4Change, Freedom House and GhostRider Foundation. To find out more, visit http://www.pedalforheroesusa.org.
