Financial Planning Association of Florida to Promote Professional and Consumer Awareness at Annual Trip to Tallahassee

Financial Planning Association of Florida leaders will be participating in their 6th Annual trip to Tallahassee on February 27 and 28. As a trusted resource in promoting the financial planning process and related issues to the State of Florida consumers and government officials, the FPA of Florida will advocate for the benefits of the financial planning profession and Florida consumers.

Orlando, FL, February 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Financial Planning Association of Florida (hereafter the FPA of Florida) leaders will be participating in their 6th Annual trip to Tallahassee on February 27 and 28. As a trusted resource in promoting the financial planning process and related issues to the State of Florida consumers and government officials, the FPA of Florida will advocate for the benefits of the financial planning profession and Florida consumers in the following ways:

1. Convene with numerous State representatives to discuss laws and legislation affecting consumers and the financial planning profession.

2. Coordinate financial literacy and education efforts with the Department of Financial Services (Insurance) and Office of Financial Registration (Securities and Investment Advisory) to heighten public awareness.

3. Identify and strengthen alliances between State government officials and FPA of Florida ambassadors pivotal to the personal and collective financial health of Floridians.

4. Meet with Cabinet officials to prepare the State of Florida Resolution for the 2012 October Financial Planning Week.
