Cape Fear Farm Heritage Association to Hold Southern Farm Days

Southern Farm Days event Saturday, March 17-Sunday, March 18 from 9 am - 5 pm at Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina in Lake Waccamaw, NC. Proceeds benefit Boys and Girls Homes.

Lake Waccamaw, NC, February 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Cape Fear Farm Association will hold a two day show entitled “Southern Farm Days” Saturday March 17-Sunday, March 18 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The show will be held at the horse complex at the Boys and Girls Homes, Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina.

There will be antique tractors, hit and miss engines, horses and mules, crosscut sawing, soap making, tractor games, open fire cooking, sawmill and more.

An antique tractor pull will be held Saturday and draft horse pull on Sunday.

Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc. has been helping children since 1954. Since then, nearly 5,000 children have benefited by the services of the not-for-profit, 501(c)3 agency. Its mission is to provide a comprehensive array of services for children and youth who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or other family dysfunction. B&GH offers adoption, family and therapeutic foster care as well as residential care on the campus at Lake Waccamaw, NC. The campus features a SACS-accredited middle and high school, vocational education, recreation facilities, farm, chapel and cottage life.
