GOWEX Offers Skype Users Convenient, High Speed Internet Access Throughout Their WiFi Networks

Under the partnership, Skype users can now access GOWEX WiFi networks worldwide in over 60 cities with a connection speed up to 6 MB.

Madrid, Spain, February 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- GOWEX (GOW-MAB, ALGOW-NYSE Euronext), a leading company in the creation of WiFi Smart & sustainable cities, has just signed an agreement with Skype which will allow Skype WiFi users to connect to the Internet through the WiFi networks that GOWEX promotes, develops and manages in over 60 cities.

Skype has more than 200 million connected users every month using over 300 billion minutes of video and voice calls annually[1]. With Skype WiFi travelers around the world with the latest version of Skype installed on their Windows or Mac device, or the Skype WiFi app on iOS**, can enjoy a cost-effective and easy way to get wireless Internet access and stay in touch with family and friends, whether they are on a business trip or enjoying their holidays abroad.

Under the partnership with GOWEX, users residing in Spain or visiting any of the GOWEX WiFi cities, can connect with their laptop or iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 4.1 or above with multitasking) and surf the Internet, make unlimited Skype-to-Skype voice and video calls and send instant messages at no additional cost to friends and family, at high connection speed (up to 6MB) provided by GOWEX in cities including Madrid, Gijon, Burgos, Seville, Malaga, Bilbao and Bordeaux.

To access GOWEX WiFi networks, users need to have a Skype account, some Skype Credit and accept the terms of service of GOWEX. Prices start from €0.16 (VAT included) per minute and users will only be charged for the minutes they are connected to the Internet. Once they are in a GOWEX WiFi Smartzone, Skype WiFi users can log in using their Skype account details and start surfing.
