Lawrence J. “Larry” Fusco, M.D., Brings 30 Years of Diverse Medical Practice Experience and Training to HD Treatment Center

Dr. Fusco brings 30 years of diverse medical practice experience to HD Treatment Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut Medical School in 1982. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Conn., Fusco received certifications from both the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Emergency Medicine.

In addition to his position with HD Treatment Center, Fusco serves as medical director for several agencies in Rockingham County, N.C. and as an internist in private practice for Belmont Medical Associates in Reidsville, N.C. In 1997, he became medical director of the emergency department at Annie Penn Hospital and was subsequently elected by his peers to serve as chief of medicine through 2004. Presently, Fusco is EMS medical director for Rockingham County and medical director of paramedic and EMS training at Rockingham Community College. He has served as medical director of the Free Clinic of Rockingham County since 2008 as well. Fusco launched HD Treatment Center in 2011.

His community activities include serving as chairman for the United Way Campaign of the Physicians Group and as a member of the board of directors for the Caswell County Family Medicine Clinic.
