)-- Daddy’s Girl goal is to shift the paradigm of fatherless families by strengthening, supporting, and guiding men who are willing to be present, life-changing forces in the lives of their daughters. Based on a belief that a stronger father-daughter bond vastly improves the overall well being of young girls as they become women, Daddy’s Girl extends a variety of services including father-to-father mentoring, health and fitness programs, parenting seminars, coaching sessions, and father/daughter bonding activities.
Tasha McKenzie, the founder and current President of Daddy’s Girl holds a degree in Health Science from Howard University and is anticipating her Masters in Nonprofit Management from the University of Maryland this summer. With a career focus on nonprofit, administration and program development, Tasha has worked with notable nonprofit organizations in the DC area such as the Whitman Walker Clinic, National Women’s Health Network, and the American Society of Hematology. Currently, Tasha serves on the advisory board for First Book DC and resides in the DC area with her husband and two children. Tasha says “our mission is to facilitate positive and healthy relationships between fathers and daughters and encourage active participation from fathers in efforts to increase the overall well being of young girls and young women. Our goal is to ensure every young girl has a leading man.”
