Alegria…Cirque de San Miguel, the Rewards of Being Happy & Lucky in Life

Are you happy, go lucky in life? If so, Alegria…Cirque de San Miguel is just the ticket. If you are fortunate enough to have purchased a ticket to this Sold Out event, Feed the Hungry is raffling off more than $10,000 dollars in valuable prizes including a Rolex Watch, beach vacation, valuable paintings and a dozen other prizes as part of the price of admission. In fact, one prize will be drawn every 10 minutes. That should make some lucky supporters happy indeed.

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, March 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Annual fundraiser, set for March 11 from 1 – 3:30pm, on top of Rosewood San Miguel de Allende’s rooftop terrace will feature the dazzling aerial dance troupe GravityWorks, a sumptuous seated banquet complete with sparkling wine and a Silent Auction of 40 exclusive lots which include trips to the Napa Valley Wine Country, Ski Country USA, private collection wines, Casa Dragones tequila, artwork and more.

The event promises to be an afternoon of merry making and celebration to fund Feed the Hungry San Miguel’s Meals Program which provides more than 4,000 hungry Mexican children with a nutritious meal every school day of the year. These meals help increase school attendance, improve learning retention and encourage healthier food choices and diets. It is a unique model for alleviating hunger among preschool and elementary children in San Miguel and surrounding communities by building and operating kitchens on state school property.

The Feed the Hungry board of directors has many generous donors and businesses to thank for the valuable prizes provided. Foremost is FOURTANE – Carmel by the Sea, who has donated an exquisite Air King Rolex watch valued at $4,950 which features an oyster bracelet and 34 mm steel case. Additional thanks goes to John & Teri Kavanagh of The Buenaventura Foundation who are providing sponsorship support, along with Camino Silvestre, Real de Mexico Tequila, Campo de Fiori, Lee Carter Company and Children’s Art Foundation A.C.

Finally, thanks goes to the dozen or more small local businesses who have provided raffle prizes for the winning ticket holders: El Rinconcito Restaurant, The Nail Lounge, Jasmine Spa, Cosmiatra Irma Zavarice Garcia, Sky Thai Massage, Sublime Design Interiors, Bicentenario Todo Terreno, Horseback Riding by Beth Kaestner, Sagrada Wellness, artist Lynne Gleason, and of course, Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, host of the event.

A wait list is being taken for the event should any tickets become available. To be added to that list or for more information about Feed the Hungry San Miguel, go to www.feedthehungrysma.org, or email contact@feedthehungrysma.org.
