Furman Brothers Recognized by RE/MAX as 2 of the Top Real Estate Agents in PA

St. Davids, PA, March 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For most real estate agents, 2011 wasn’t the best of years when it comes to total sales. But two local brothers, Brett and Scott Furman, not only “Exceeded All Expectations” with a great year in real estate, they’re now recognized as two of the elite realtors around. The Furmans have worked in the real estate industry for a combined 58 years, helping over 1600 families on the Main Line and around the Philadelphia area purchase and sell their homes.

It was announced recently at the RE/MAX International Awards ceremony held at the Philadelphia Ritz Carlton Hotel, that Scott Furman is No. 7 in the state of Pennsylvania out of 2,825 agents, based on his 2011 year-end statistics. According to RE/MAX International data, Scott’s listings averaged 50.5 days on the market versus all other agents who averaged 100 days. Scott also sold the homes he listed at 97% of their asking price versus other agents who averaged 91.5%.

Bonnie Duncan is one of those who benefited from Scott’s ability to sell in half the time it takes most realtors to get a property sold. “In an extremely rough housing market, I was so fortunate to work with such a true professional, as Scott Furman,” Duncan stressed. “I really do believe that I would have struggled selling my home if it weren't for Scott and his expertise. Scott was able to help me navigate the housing market, make advantageous changes, and come out on top. For every question, thought, doubt and worry, he was right there to work through it with me. I would recommend Scott to anyone looking to make that big life change in either buying or selling their home.”

Scott said that he’s humbled and excited to receive the recognition of his accomplishments, but added that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. His brother Brett was also recently awarded membership into the RE/MAX International Platinum Club for helping 41 families invest in the American dream of home ownership in 2011, yielding him a 14% increase over the prior year.

Brett, who represents sellers of real estate in The Main Line, Chester, Montgomery, Delaware counties and in the suburban Philadelphia markets, said the secret to his success is through the Furman Home Selling System.

By utilizing the Furman Home Selling System which Brett created, his home and property selling statistics resulted an average of 63 days on the market compared with all other agents who averaged 100 days. In addition to that, Brett sold the homes he listed at 97 % of their asking price compared with all other agents, who averaged 91.5%. “Brett Furman listed my house on Friday night and I had a full price signed contract the following Wednesday,” Don Eyer said of realtor Furman, who sold Eyer’s home in 5 days for 98% of the listing price.

The brothers and their firm actively support The Flora Furman Memorial Fund of the American Cancer Society, created in memory of the Furmans’ mother, a local substitute teacher who lost her life to cancer in 2000 and The Harold B. Furman Memorial Fund of the ALS Hope Foundation, created in memory of the Furmans’ father, who was a pediatrician in the Wayne community for 37 years and school doctor. He lost his life in 1994 after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
