Expos Your Business, in partnership with Nassau County, is announcing the upcoming NY networking Multicultural Business Expo, designed to reach out to minority-owned businesses.

Jericho, NY, March 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Expos Your Business, a NY networking company that specializes in B2B marketing, is announcing the upcoming NY Multicultural Business Expo, available online at http://www.ExposYourBusiness.com. Slated for March 15, 2012, the expo will take place at Leonard’s of Great Neck, located at 555 Northern Boulevard. Conceived of as a way to build business connections and particularly cater to the growing multicultural segment of the professional population, the NY Multicultural Business Expo is being led by a partnership of Expos Your Business and Nassau County.

“The NY Multicultural Business Expo is a first among New York and Long Island events, in that it levels a particular focus on small- and medium-sized businesses owned by minority groups who, in the past, may not have felt that their particular interests and concerns were being addressed. So far, we’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response, and we think it’s an excellent way to stimulate the area economy while also promoting values of cultural diversity and multiethnic awareness. Business owners should think of this event as a source of valuable information about marketing, social media, business development, and more, as well as an open setting to network and associate with others in business from varying backgrounds,” said Mark Neuwirt, President of Expos Your Business.

Business owners attending the NY Multicultural Business Expo should expect to interact with representatives from a range of area businesses and development organizations, including Empire State Development, National Grid, NYC Small Business Services, US SBA, LIDC, and the NYS Governor’s Office on Asian Affairs. The NY networking expo is additionally being co-sponsored by businesses that include Aflac and IBM in partnership with MESA Technologies; representatives of local, regional, and national media outlets will also be present and are promoting the B2B marketing expo to their local multiethnic communities.

In the spirit of fostering a warm and open multicultural environment, the expo will host a midday musical performance by members of the Asian-American Cultural Circle of Unity. A globalist perspective will also be the theme at many of the exhibitors’ tables, including LIVE (Long Island Volunteer Enterprise), which will be signing up volunteers to work on a project benefiting a nonprofit in Nassau or Suffolk; Young Adults Community Service; Farmingdale State College Alumni Association; and more. Local restaurants will also be sponsoring a tasting series for visitors to the NY networking expo.

One of the highlight events of the NY Multicultural Business Expo will be VenturePitch 2012, a breakfast program held from 8 to 10 a.m. to kick off the day’s events. Produced in partnership with Advantage Payroll Services and based on a concept by Anna Carril-Grumberg, internet filmmaker to Deepak Chopra Global, the event asks multicultural entrepreneurs to register and submit a 3-minute video explaining their business ideas prior to the expo. Their concepts will then be discussed by judges including Daymond John, star panelist from ABC’s hit show Shark Tank; moderator Rob Basso of Basso On Business; and additional experienced business leaders from the region.

Preceding the Long Island events at the NY Multicultural Business Expo is a VIP Networking Dinner on the evening of March 14, held at Leonard’s from 6 to 9 p.m. The elegant soiree will incorporate live entertainment, an extensive buffet, as well as NY networking opportunities that give expo registrants a chance to meet and connect prior to the next day’s events.
