Spruse Founder, Amar Chugg, Says That He's Just Getting Started
San Diego, CA, March 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- At just nineteen years, Amar Chugg wears many hats; he is a budding entrepreneur, a chief executive officer, a disc jockey, a model, a music producer, a web developer, a technology blogger, a social media enthusiast and a student at New York’s Baruch College where he is pursuing a degree in Finance. In fact, one would be tempted to brand him a jerk of all trades. Chugg has nurtured his passion for technology over the years having put together his first PHP and HTML websites at the age of fifteen, a project that also saw him develop a special preference for companies whose technology is high end. He has consequently set up a number of start-ups that include Chugg Search, Spruse, Srt.im and Shopallo.com where he is also the Chief executive officer. Currently, Chugg continues to work on more web platforms which he hopes to release in the future even as he continues to work towards completing his college courses. Among some of the accolades that he has won for himself include an award for the best start up in 2011 as well as the silver for Meta Search awards of 2008.
As a blogger, Chugg runs Spruse, a blog that focuses on news as well as technology. The blog mainly focuses on profiling startups, breaking news in technology, latest stories as well as new internet products. The blog, which was set up about a year ago was initially a meta search engine. However, the lack of funds to sustain the search engine led to it being shut down and hence came the birth of the blog. Through the blog, Chugg enjoys a great audience of that is evident in the number of people viewing the content on the website, per month is close to the one million mark and counting. He has also provided an employment opportunity for writers who wish to contribute to the blog.
Another of Chugg’s successful ventures is Shopallo which was an online shopping website which dealt mainly with coupons and deals. Even though he prides himself in all these achievements, Chugg strives to strike a balance between his entrepreneurial commitments, academic life and social life. Thus, when he is not working on his startups, you will either find him swimming, taking a stroll at the beach, playing basketball, attending parties, networking and making new friends or playing billiards. He is also a lover of music and by extension, dancing.
